SEERNet is funded by the Institute of Education Science, with a deliberate intention to fund both DLPs and researchers, as well as a growing network connecting DLPs, researchers, and practitioners. It is called “SEERNet” in reference to IES’s SEER principles, a set of aspirations for educational research.
Together, Digital Promise and Empirical Education serve as the network hub with the purpose to grow, to engage emerging scholars and educators, and to synthesize the knowledge that the network produces. We intend to keep a firm focus on diversity, equity and inclusion goals as the network is defined and grows.
